Road cycling Route: Pollença - Sa Calobra

Among the numerous breathtaking route this Mediterranean Island presents, the Sa Calobra shines among many. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most demanding and delightful routes.

This route of 85km and 2100m of elevation will stay in your mind for a long time. Starting in Pollença the first climb you have to conquer is the Coll de Femenia. A 8.9km long and 441 vertical meters with an average gradient of 4.9% climb.

From there another stretch to the Mirador de s'Entreforc where you have some beautiful views over the rocky Serra de Tramuntana and the Mediterranean see in the background. After this little descend, and before reaching the Gorg Blau, turn to the rigth to reac the highlight of the Route. A little climb of over a hundred meters before starting the magnificent descent to the Sea.

The descent of the Sa Calobra road is absolutely beautiful; navigating the hairpin turns of this snaky road is an incredible feeling. The breathtaking landscapes and the sensation of flying down the mountain make it a thrilling and memorable experience.

There are a few restaurants to rest before the obvious next step, climbing back the Sa Calobra. A 10.1km long and 654 vertical meters with an average gradient of 6.5% that will challenge your fitness. But once your are up it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved descent back to Pollença.
