Road cycling route: Barcelona - Begues - Sitges -Garraf

This road cycling route takes you to some of the most popular cycling roads on the south part of Barcelona. It combines a challenging climb to one of the cycling favourites in the area: Begues, the popular town of Sitges and a scenic coastal road.

The ride begins in Barcelona, the first part is mostly flat until the town of Gavà. From there, get ready for a challenging 6 km climb up towards the town of Begues. Once you reach the summit, take a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the panorama. Begues is a popular town for road cyclist and mountain bikers and there is plenty of bars to refuel.

From Begues, the road takes a slight downhill turn as you make your way through the Parc del Garraf, a natural park with dense vegetation. This part will be mostly rolling hills and valleys, and you'll be surrounded by the scent of pine trees and the chirping of birds.

As you reach the coastal town of Sitges, you'll be met with a charming atmosphere, the smell of the sea, and quaint shops and cafes. Sitges is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and eat something before the last section of the route.

The last part, is a flat-ish coastal road where you’ll enjoy some scenic views of the coast on your right.
