Gravel Route: Down the Glatt - Bulach
This route takes you from Zurich down the Glatt river in direction to Bulach. It combines rolling gravel roads and some asphalt sections. Not a lot of climbing, and beautiful sections in the woods and along some vineyards.
The first part of the route is a bit annoying as you'll need to get out of the city and cross Oerlikon, but once you reach the airport, the fun starts! There are lots of gravel paths in the forest, farms and along the Glatt river, and mostly flat sections. The first part is on the east side of the river, and on the way back, you'll be along the west side. Overall it’s a easy to track to enjoy.
