The route Zurich - Albis Pass - Buechenegg Pass is on of the most popular route for road cyclists in the Zurich area. The route starts in Zurich and heads south towards the Albis Pass. The route then continues over the Buechenegg Pass and back to Zurich.
There are multiple variants, in this blog we describe the single loop but most fit cyclist will do the passes twice which results in a 1000m of elevation gain in just a few kilometres.

The route is mostly on quiet roads with little traffic. The scenery is beautiful, especially when you are cycling through the forest on the way to the Albis Pass. There are some great views of Lake Zurich and the surrounding mountains.

- Rote Fabrik: is a former factory and it is now used as a music venue and cultural centre. It is so named because the buildings are made of red brick. You can have a drink and nobody will care if you are a little bit sweatty.
