Road Cycling Route: Zurich - Albispass - Bremgarten

This route is a perfect option for a weekend ride. Not too much but still a couple of climbs where you can push yourself. Starting from Zurich, the highlights of the route are the classic Albis Pass, the countryside of Zurich and Aargau and the beautiful little town of Bremgarten.

We started in Bellevue after a warm cup coffee and head to Albis Pass. Don’t worry is just a +340m of 6km that will take you to the other side of the hill of lake Zurich. We cycle towards Aargau passing some farms, and little villages. The roads like most places in Switzerland and pretty good and road are not very busy which is always a plus.

In Bremgarten is time to stop and enjoy the view from the other side of the river Reuss before entering the town. To enter the town you’ll be using an old wooden bridge that was build for the first time in the 13th century. Take the time to refuel in one of the nice terraces on the main street before jumping back on your saddle.

After a nice refreshment we continue cycling to discover more little towns in Aargau, like Gnadenthal. Going back to Zurich you will have a few more hills but nothing too bad but keep some fuel for the end.
